Under 16: 1st Martha Gilman (aged 14) from Bosley with 'Tuc' The International Sheep Dog Society rosette for the highest pointed young handler over the two days, in any class was won by Chloe Cropper from Bacup. Nursery Class: (8 entries) 1st David Pickford from Rainow with 'Mirk' (49 Points) The winner was presented with the Tony Judge Perpetual Trophy and a replica shield. David Pickford was awarded a special prize for the best outrun, kindly donated by Mr E R Leicester.
1st James Gilman from Bosley with 'Peggy' (85 Points) The Bob Morten Perpetual Memorial Trophy for the highest pointed dog, trained and exhibited by the competitor, was awarded to James Gilman with 'Peggy'. Open Singles Saturday: (51 entries) maximum score 100 points 1st Thomas Longton from Quernmore with 'Spot' (88 Points) The winner received the Denis Goodier Perpetual Trophy and a replica shield.

The Jack Stanhope Perpetual Memorial Trophy and the Criddle Perpetual Trophy were awarded to the highest pointed local winner, James Gilman The Second highest pointed local winner, Gordon Birchenall received
the National Westminster Bank Perpetual Trophy. James Gilman won the Sir Nicholas R Winterton MP Patron's Perpetual Trophy for the highest pointed local competitor over the two days with 'Dot' and 'Peggy'. James Gilman won the WA Nield Perpetual Silver Jubilee Trophy for the highest pointed local dog, with 'Dot' in the Local and Open Classes over the two days, with 167 points. James Gilman won the Frank Eardley Perpetual Memorial Trophy for the highest pointed dog 'Dot' (85 points) who resides within 12 miles radius of the Macclesfield Town Hall. James Gilman with 'Dot' won the Ron Bagley Perpetual Trophy for the highest pointed competitor living in Cheshire with 85 points. A special prize was given to the competitor with the highest pointed dog (over two days) who is a member of the Association this was awarded to James Gilman. The Oakes Millers Perpetual Trophy, for the highest pointed female competitor, was won by Elaine von Dinther. The Harvey Perpetual Challenge Trophy for the highest pointed open competitor on either day was awarded to Thomas Longton with 'Spot' (88 points). The Jack Pickford Memorial Trophy was won by Tim Harding of Kettleshulme with Mac. James Gilman with 'Dot' won the BFSS Trophy for the highest pointed committee member over two days from the local and open classes with a total of 167 points. The Harold Ryder Perpetual Trophy, for the best condition dog, was
won by Martha Gilman with 'Tuc'. A shield in memory of Terry Nixon was presented to James Gilman of
Bosley for the highest pointed local man in the Saturday Open Class. |
